Melford Turtledove

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-02

Melford Turtledove is a calm, lightly textured neutral with a fine woven herringbone running through its surface. The colour reads as a pale turtledove cream, softly warming the weave without losing its crisp, tailored feel.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection has a neat small-scale herringbone effect that gives the surface a refined, cloth-like rhythm. At 270gsm, it has enough body for upholstery while still keeping a clean, composed drape, and the 138.5cm usable width makes it practical for larger projects. The 1.6cm horizontal repeat and 0cm vertical repeat create an orderly look that feels understated rather than busy. In this colourway, the cream ground sits just off-white with a gentle grey-beige cast, so the texture shows quietly rather than starkly.

How to use it

Use Melford Turtledove on armchairs, banquettes or cushions where you want a pale neutral with a little more interest than plain linen. Its soft, muted cream tone works especially well with oak, chalky whites and brushed metal finishes.

A quiet neutral with a neat woven line, ideal for tailored upholstery and layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
