About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a substantial 340 gsm weight and a 230 threads/cm specification, which supports its use for upholstery as well as decorative schemes that need visual depth. The 142 cm usable width gives good coverage for larger projects, while the 42 cm vertical and 36 cm horizontal repeat create a balanced damask layout. In this colourway, the claret base feels warm and jewel-like rather than bright, and the pattern sits just darker than the ground so the design appears elegant rather than high-contrast. The woven surface has a smooth, tightly finished look, with the damask motif forming a refined, traditional repeat.
