About this fabric

This fabric is from Sanderson’s Orwell Weaves collection and, at 450 gsm with a 137 cm usable width, it has the substance expected of a hardworking upholstery cloth. The small repeat of 5.5 cm by 5.5 cm creates a tight chevron rhythm that feels precise rather than busy. In this colourway, the berry red sits slightly muted and earthy rather than bright, so the cream ground lifts the design and keeps it fresh. The high thread count of 53 threads per cm is reflected in the close, refined surface, which gives the zigzag lines a clean edge and a pleasingly dense hand.

How to use it

Use Benwick Berry on an armchair, banquette or cushions where its berry-and-cream contrast can bring structure and warmth. It pairs well with painted timber, warm neutrals and deeper red accents for a smart, layered room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
