Benwick Pottery Blue

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0442-04

Benwick Pottery Blue shows a finely worked herringbone that reads as a soft, chalky blue with a pale, almost silvery ground. The small-scale pattern gives the swatch a calm, tailored character rather than a bold contrast.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Orwell Weaves fabric is a substantial textile at 450gsm, with a usable width of 137cm and a regular 5.5cm vertical and horizontal repeat. The weave creates a tight herringbone effect that is visible across the swatch, with the blue appearing muted and pottery-like against a lighter ground. The overall finish feels dense and structured, which suits upholstery use particularly well. Its cool, low-saturation colourway keeps the pattern refined, while the fine repeat prevents the design from reading too busy at close range.

How to use it

Use this soft blue in a scheme with pale oak, brushed nickel and off-white walls for a crisp, understated look. It also works well on classic armchairs or banquettes where the small herringbone can add texture without overpowering the room.

A restrained blue herringbone that brings quiet structure to tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
