Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0443-04

Burnham Asparagus shows a finely woven, pinstriped surface in a soft asparagus green. The pale ground keeps the colourway airy, while the narrow vertical bands add a neat, tailored rhythm.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Orwell Weaves collection is a substantial 454 gsm textile with a usable width of 143 cm, making it well suited to hard-working upholstery applications. The weave is tightly textured, with 59 threads per cm giving the surface a clear, crisp grain. Its pattern repeat is just 0.8 cm horizontally, so the vertical striping reads as a subtle, regular pinstripe rather than a bold banding. The asparagus tone sits between yellow-green and olive, with a fresh but slightly softened feel against the pale background.

How to use it

Use it on a chair, ottoman or bench where the narrow green stripe can add quiet structure without overpowering the room. It pairs especially well with pale woods, chalky paint colours and other muted greens for a clean, fresh scheme.

A crisp pinstripe weave that brings a fresh, tailored feel to neat upholstery or relaxed blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Burnham Asparagus without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
