Melford Holly

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-19

Melford Holly is a softly textured sage-green weave with a refined herringbone-like chevron running through the surface. The colour reads fresh and airy, with pale minty highlights that lift the pattern.

About this fabric

This fabric from Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection is a 270gsm textile with a usable width of 138.5 cm and a standard length of 40 m. The design has no vertical repeat and only a 1.6 cm horizontal repeat, giving the small-scale woven pattern a neat, disciplined rhythm. Visually, Melford Holly blends pale green, mint and muted herb tones into a cool, lightly weathered finish rather than a saturated emerald note. The weave catches the light gently, so the chevron effect stays crisp without feeling high-contrast or heavy. At 88 threads per cm, it presents as a fine but substantial cloth that feels versatile for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Melford Holly on an occasional chair, bench or fitted Roman blind to add a calm green accent without overpowering the room. Its soft sage tone works especially well with oak, chalk white and natural linen finishes.

A fresh sage weave that brings quiet colour and tailored texture to seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
