Melford Leek

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0338-16

Melford Leek is a pale, leafy green weave with a fine herringbone-like chevron running across the surface. The colour reads soft and airy rather than bright, with a gentle chalky finish in the light.

About this fabric

From Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection, this Fabric has a usable width of 138.5 cm and a substantial 270gsm weight, giving it enough body for everyday interiors. The weave shows a tight, small-scale chevron effect with a 1.6 cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, so the pattern feels orderly and calm. In this colourway, the leek green sits between sage and pistachio, with a muted warmth that keeps it from looking cold. The fine texture and even surface give the cloth a crisp, tailored look without losing its soft, natural character.

How to use it

Use this shade on armchairs, bench seats, or Roman blinds where the subtle green can lift a room without dominating it. It pairs especially well with pale oak, limestone, and off-white linens for a fresh country feel.

A fresh, understated green that works beautifully in tailored upholstery or quiet curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Melford Leek without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
