Benwick Raw Chocolate

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0442-02

Benwick Raw Chocolate has a tightly woven, small-scale chevron effect that reads as a rich, textural brown on the surface. The pattern sits quietly in the cloth, giving the colourway a tailored, understated look.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Orwell Weaves fabric is supplied with a 137 cm usable width, a 5.5 cm vertical repeat and a 5.5 cm horizontal repeat, making the pattern easy to plan across furniture or soft furnishings. At 450 gsm, it has the substantial body you would expect from a heavier upholstery cloth, and the 53 threads per cm help create its crisp, closely worked texture. In this Raw Chocolate colourway, the weave settles into a deep cocoa brown with lighter taupe-brown notes catching on the raised threads. The result is a grounded, matt-looking surface with enough pattern movement to add interest without overpowering a room.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or fixed seating where the dark chocolate tone will feel warm rather than severe. It pairs well with oak, antiqued brass and softer neutrals, especially if you want the chevron texture to do the work quietly.

A warm, grounded weave that suits tailored upholstery and compact seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
