About this fabric

This Sanderson x Giles Deacon velvet is a substantial 548 gsm fabric, with a usable width of 137 cm and a pattern repeat of 10.3 cm vertically and 17.5 cm horizontally. The bronze-brown colourway reads warm and mellow rather than brash, with lighter edgings around each linked shape that lift the design against the richer pile. At 175 threads per cm, the surface appears dense and closely woven, which supports its use on upholstery. The overall effect is luxurious but grounded, with enough tonal variation to stop the pattern feeling flat.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, headboard or ottoman where the bronze tone can sit alongside walnut, tobacco leather or aged brass. It also works well as a statement cushion fabric in a room that already has deep neutrals and warm metallic accents.
