Faraday Velvet Geolu

Sanderson x Giles Deacon Faraday Velvets VelvetSAF0423-06

Faraday Velvet Geolu has a warm antique-gold ground that lifts the raised geometric motif with a soft, velvety sheen. The pattern reads crisp and tailored, but the colour keeps it inviting rather than sharp.

About this fabric

This Sanderson x Giles Deacon velvet has a distinctly plush surface, and at 548gsm it is well suited to upholstery where the pile and body can really show. The 137cm usable width makes it practical for larger seating pieces, while the 10.3cm vertical repeat and 17.5cm horizontal repeat create a structured, interlocking geometric layout. In Geolu, the palette sits between gold and khaki, with a muted, slightly olive cast that feels warmer in the highlights and deeper in the shadows. The result is a smart, decorative velvet with enough depth to read luxurious without becoming overly bright.

How to use it

Use it on a statement armchair, banquette or headboard where the geometric velvet can catch the light. It pairs well with deep walnut, brushed brass and other earthy neutrals for a polished, layered scheme.

Warm the room with timber, brass and velvet accents to echo its soft metallic glow.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
