About this fabric

This Sanderson x Giles Deacon velvet has a substantial handle, with a weight of 548 gsm and a dense 175 threads per cm construction that suits hard-working upholstery. The pattern repeat is 10.3 cm vertically and 17.5 cm horizontally, forming neat rounded diamonds across the cloth. In Sandstone, the colour reads as a muted terracotta with toasted cinnamon undertones, lifted by lighter border lines that outline each shape. The velvet surface gives the design a soft sheen rather than a high gloss, so the pattern looks rich and tactile without feeling flashy.

How to use it

Use this sandstone tone on an occasional chair, ottoman or banquette where the warm rust colour can sit against oak, walnut or plaster pinks. It also works well for cushions in a room with brass details, adding depth without turning too dark.
