About this fabric

This Sanderson x Giles Deacon Faraday Velvet is a substantial 548gsm velvet with a usable width of 137 cm, making it well suited to upholstery. The small-scale pattern repeat, at 10.3 cm vertically and 17.5 cm horizontally, creates a tightly ordered lattice that feels precise rather than busy. In this colourway, the pile shows a dark malachite teal base with lighter golden-beige outlines that lift the motif and catch the light around each shape. The result is a plush, structured look with a distinctly luxurious edge.

How to use it

Use it on a compact armchair, ottoman or dining chair to bring depth to darker woods and brass details. Its cool malachite tone also works well with warm neutrals, smoky glass and other jewel colours.

Rich teal velvet with a crisp lattice detail that suits statement seating and tailored cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
