About this fabric

This Sanderson x Giles Deacon velvet has a substantial 548gsm handle and a generous 137 cm usable width, making it well suited to upholstered pieces that need body and presence. The small repeating pattern, with a 10.3 cm vertical repeat and 17.5 cm horizontal repeat, creates a quilted lattice look rather than a bold statement motif. In this colourway the pile catches the light as a cool, misted blue-grey, while the outlining stitch effect sits slightly warmer and gives the surface gentle definition. The overall impression is polished but quiet, with enough texture to keep the pale shade from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use it on a clean-lined sofa, bench or dining chairs where the soft blue tone can sit against oak, limestone or brushed nickel. It also works well in bright rooms that need a cooler, more tailored finish without a harsh white contrast.

A soft, cool neutral that lifts tailored upholstery without feeling stark.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
