Faraday Velvet Pinenut

Sanderson x Giles Deacon Faraday Velvets VelvetSAF0423-02

Faraday Velvet Pinenut is a soft oat-cream velvet with a quilted-looking geometric rhythm and a gentle, low sheen. The pale ground and slightly shadowed outline give the design a tailored, textured calm.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a warm cream with a subtle beige undertone, so the pattern feels more refined than contrasty. The velvet surface catches the light softly, while the raised outline around each lozenge adds definition without breaking the calm tone. With a usable width of 137 cm, a 10.3 cm vertical repeat and 17.5 cm horizontal repeat, it is easy to plan across larger upholstered pieces. At 548 gsm and 175 threads per cm, it has the substantial body expected of a velvet and the weight to hold its shape beautifully on seating.

How to use it

Use Pinenut on a curved armchair, ottoman or banquette where the soft cream tone can brighten the room without feeling stark. It pairs well with pale timber, warm brass and deeper neutrals for a quietly polished scheme.

A warm neutral velvet that lifts curved upholstery and reads quietly tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
