Medieval Embroidery Harvest

Sanderson x National Trust Volume II FabricSAF0494-01

Medieval Embroidery Harvest has a warm cream ground scattered with storybook animals, stylised foliage and small birds in soft harvest gold and taupe. The design feels artisanal and gently playful, with the embroidery-style outlines sitting clearly against the pale background.

About this fabric

This Sanderson x National Trust Volume II fabric is a substantial textile at 395 gsm, with a usable width of 132.5 cm and a 79.2 cm vertical repeat, which suits larger-scale pattern placement. The image shows a creamy, lightly textured ground with a repeating folk-inspired motif in muted mustard, honey gold and brown-gold outlines. The stitched look gives the animals, trees and birds a tactile, heritage feel rather than a glossy finish. With a horizontal repeat of 63.8 cm and no performance finish noted, it reads as a decorative fabric best appreciated for its character and weight.

How to use it

Use this harvest-toned colourway on occasional chairs, cushions or a blind where the embroidered animals can be seen clearly. It works especially well with oak, aged brass and chalky paint colours that echo the soft golden threads.

Pair with pale woods and restrained neutrals to let the embroidery-style motif stay the focus.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
