Lutley Stripe Damson/Medlar
Sanderson x National Trust Volume II FabricSAF0489-01
Lutley Stripe Damson/Medlar pairs a warm damson ground with soft medlar, blush and sky-toned stripes for a lively, heritage look. The repeating vertical zig-zag bands give the fabric a crisp rhythm while the woven texture keeps it feeling substantial.

About this fabric
This fabric is a textile, not wallpaper, and its 585 gsm weight gives it a notably sturdy handle suited to upholstery. The 140.5 cm usable width makes it practical for larger projects, while the 6 cm vertical repeat and 17.5 cm horizontal repeat create a disciplined stripe pattern with a clear geometric pulse. In this colourway, the damson reads rich and berry-like rather than dark, lifted by creamy ivory, pale blue and medlar tones that soften the overall effect. The visible weave has a firm, slubby character that catches the light unevenly, adding depth to the stripe and emphasising the handcrafted feel.
How to use it
This colourway works well on a statement armchair, banquette or cushion set where the damson stripes can bring warmth without overwhelming a room. Pair it with chalky neutrals, aged wood and muted blue accents to let the pink-and-ochre notes stay balanced.
Use it to lift simple seating or blinds with a colourful, heritage stripe.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lutley Stripe Damson/Medlar without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
