About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Alaska Shell is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, and carries a 45,000 severe contract rub test for demanding use. The fabric measures 146cm wide, with a substantial 438 grams per linear metre and 300 grams per square metre, giving it a reassuringly full handle. In this colourway the pink is pale and powdery rather than sugary, sitting close to blush with a faint warm undertone that keeps it from feeling cold. Its plain style and softly matte finish make the shade read cleanly and evenly across the surface, so the colour itself does the decorating.

How to use it

Use Shell to soften clean-lined seating, window dressings or upholstered headboards where a gentle blush neutral is wanted. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky whites and deeper taupe or stone accents.

A gentle blush neutral that works beautifully on both upholstered pieces and soft drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
