About this fabric

This fabric has a substantial 396 gsm handle and a usable width of 135.5 cm, which supports its richly decorative, weighty feel. The design is built from repeated scalloped arches packed with fruit, birds and stylised flowers, all drawn in warm red, gold and olive against an ivory base. In this colourway, the reds read deep and slightly burnished rather than bright, giving the pattern a harvested, autumnal character even though the ground stays light. The 44 cm vertical repeat and 133 cm horizontal repeat create a bold, rhythmic layout that will make the motif highly visible on larger pieces.

How to use it

This creamy, warm-toned colourway suits an upholstered accent chair, ottoman or tailored blind where the arch repeat can be seen clearly. Pair it with oak, aged brass and soft natural linens to echo the design’s ripe, country-house warmth.

Use on a statement chair or blind to let the warm fruit and floral motifs stand out against the pale ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
