About this fabric

Nectar Fields Damson/Medlar is a printed fabric from Sanderson x National Trust Volume II with a usable width of 138 cm and a 48.5 cm vertical repeat, making the trailing floral layout easy to pattern match. At 170 gsm and with 52.7 threads per cm, it reads as a versatile mid-weight cloth rather than a heavy upholstery fabric. The ground is a soft cream with a gentle warmth, which allows the damson, medlar, blue and ochre blossoms to appear crisp rather than overly saturated. Olive stems and fine, curling branches keep the composition delicate, while the overall effect remains bright and orderly on the cloth.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a light backdrop with enough pattern to add character, such as curtains in a sitting room or a statement armchair in a pale scheme. Its warm cream base works particularly well with timber, aged brass and soft green accents.

Pair with walnut wood and plain linens to let the scattered floral sprigs stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
