Fen Bark
Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0445-02
Fen Bark is a tightly woven Sanderson fabric with a small-scale, brick-like texture that reads as warm bark brown with lighter biscuit highlights. The repeating grid gives the surface a crisp, tailored rhythm rather than a soft or fluid finish.

About this fabric
This Orwell Weaves fabric has a substantial 560 gsm handle, making it a strong choice for upholstery, with a usable width of 144 cm. The design repeats every 3 cm horizontally and vertically, and the close repeat is echoed in the compact woven blocks visible across the swatch. In this colourway, the brown ground feels warm and earthy, while the lighter threads lift the pattern enough to stop it from feeling heavy. The overall effect is smart and textural, with a small-scale geometric look that sits neatly in both classic and contemporary schemes.
How to use it
Use Fen Bark on an armchair, banquette or ottoman where the warm brown tone can add depth without dominating the room. It pairs especially well with oak, leather and creamy neutrals, and the small repeat keeps it sharp in close-view seating.
Pair with natural linens and oak tones for a grounded, tailored look.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fen Bark without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
