Fen Slip

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0445-03

Fen Slip is a softly mottled beige woven with a calm, natural look and a fine grid-like texture across the surface. Its warm oatmeal tone reads light and understated, with just enough texture to keep the colourway from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Orwell Weaves collection has a substantial 560 gsm weight and 57 threads per cm, giving the cloth a dense, refined handle that suits upholstery well. The visible weave forms a small, regular check-like texture, repeated at 3 cm vertically and horizontally, which gives the surface a neat, ordered rhythm. In this colourway the base tone sits in a soft oatmeal beige with slightly cooler neutral threads blended through, so the overall effect is warm but restrained. With a usable width of 144 cm and no performance finish noted, it is a straightforward decorative textile with a tailored, quietly textured character.

How to use it

Use Fen Slip on armchairs, banquettes or cushions where a pale neutral needs visible weave and a softer, more tactile finish. It pairs especially well with timber, stone and muted green or taupe schemes.

A quietly textured neutral that adds warmth and depth without overpowering a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
