About this fabric

This Sanderson Melford Weaves fabric has a visibly textured plain weave, with tiny flecks and slubs that give the surface a natural, linen-like character. The colour sits between beige and stone, with a warm undertone that keeps it from feeling stark or chalky. At 484 gsm, it has the substantial handle you would expect from an upholstery-weight textile, while the 142 cm usable width and zero pattern repeat make it straightforward to cut and cover cleanly. The 15 threads per cm support the dense, structured look seen in the swatch, with enough texture to add depth without introducing a pattern.

How to use it

Use this colourway on sofas, armchairs or banquettes where you want a quiet foundation rather than a statement. It works especially well with oak, aged brass and deeper earthy accents, because the stone-beige base stays warm beside both pale and dark finishes.

A soft stone neutral that brings an easy, understated warmth to tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
