About this fabric

Rue Linen Raffia from Sanderson is a 241gsm fabric with a usable width of 139 cm and no pattern repeat, making it an easy choice for measured cutting and tailored finishes. The surface shown here has a fine woven grain with a subtle slub, giving the cloth a gently irregular, linen-like character. This colourway sits in a soft beige-raffia range, with just enough warmth to feel inviting without becoming heavy or overtly golden. At 84 threads per cm, it has a closely woven look that keeps the plain surface refined while still feeling tactile.

How to use it

This sandy neutral works beautifully on sofas, ottomans and bench seating, especially in rooms layered with timber, stone and pale upholstery. It also lends itself to relaxed curtains or blinds where the warm beige tone can soften daylight.

Use for calm, natural interiors where a warm neutral with a gentle woven texture is needed.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
