Rue Linen Sepia

Rue Linen FabricSAF0347-08

Rue Linen Sepia is a softly heathered plain weave with a muted olive-brown cast that feels calm and grounded. The close weave gives the surface a dry, linen-like texture with just enough visual movement to stop the colour reading flat.

About this fabric

Woven at 84 threads per cm and weighing 241 gsm, this fabric has the substance to sit comfortably in both upholstery and drapery applications. The 139 cm usable width makes it practical for larger schemes, while the lack of pattern repeat keeps the focus on the colour and texture rather than ornament. In this sepia colourway, the olive base is tempered by a warm brown undertone, creating a subdued, dusty finish that looks especially elegant in softer natural light. The surface appears gently matte with fine horizontal and vertical slubs that add depth without introducing a visible motif.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, ottoman, or full-length curtains where its muted olive tone can act as a bridge between timber, stone and warmer neutrals. It pairs particularly well with aged brass, linen white and tobacco leather.

A versatile olive-neutral with a quietly tailored feel for soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
