Rue Linen FabricSAF0347-16

Rue Linen Petrol is a plain woven fabric with a cool petrol-teal character and a softly mottled linen look. The colour reads as deep and calm rather than bright, with the weave giving it a relaxed surface movement.

About this fabric

This colourway has a measured, blue-leaning teal tone that feels richer in the shadows and slightly softened where the light catches the weave. At 241 gsm, with a usable width of 139 cm and no pattern repeat in either direction, it is a practical choice for tailored upholstery or elegant drapery. The texture shows a fine linen character with subtle variations across the surface, so the finish feels natural rather than flat. The depth of the petrol shade gives it enough presence for a statement chair, bench or curtain, while still sitting easily alongside timber, stone and pale neutrals.

How to use it

Use it on a streamlined armchair, headboard or full-length curtains where the blue-green depth can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with oat, chalk and walnut tones for a composed, slightly coastal feel.

Use with warm wood and pale neutrals to let the colour stay crisp and modern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
