About this fabric

This colourway shows a restrained blue-grey tone with a gentle washed quality that lets the weave read clearly across the surface. At 241 gsm, it has enough substance for upholstery while still feeling suited to drapery, and the 139 cm usable width makes it practical for larger schemes. The fabric has no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, so the focus stays on the texture and the subtle shifts in the linen yarns. With 84 threads per cm, the cloth looks closely woven and neat rather than open or rustic.

How to use it

Use Mercury to cool down warm woods, brass, or terracotta accents, or pair it with chalky whites for a crisp, coastal-feeling room. Its quiet blue-grey depth makes it an easy choice for relaxed sofas, Roman blinds, or full-length curtains.

A calm slate-blue linen that works beautifully across tailored upholstery and pared-back drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
