Lavanga Indigo

Sabu Stripes and Ikats FabricSAF0534-01

Lavanga Indigo pairs a creamy ground with a neat scatter of small indigo motifs, giving the swatch a fresh, airy look. The tiny repeating shape reads crisp and orderly rather than busy, with a quietly decorative rhythm across the surface.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a textile with a usable width of 137 cm and a substantial weight of 376 gsm, which gives the cloth a reassuring body for upholstery. The pattern repeat is 15.5 cm vertically and 12.5 cm horizontally, and the repeated motif is sized to sit evenly across the pale ground. Visually, the colourway is a deep indigo blue set against an off-white, slightly warm cream background, so the contrast feels clean and tailored. The woven surface looks smooth with a firm handle, and the small motif has the effect of a restrained block-print rather than an all-over floral.

How to use it

Lavanga Indigo works well on a neat armchair, dining chair seats, or a tailored cushion scheme where the indigo dots can read clearly. The cool blue on the light ground would sit especially well with white woodwork, pale oak, or muted navy accents.

Use with crisp linen or pale timber to let the indigo motif stand out cleanly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
