About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Sabu Stripes and Ikats collection has a usable width of 141 cm, a 35 cm horizontal repeat and a substantial 310 gsm weight. The visible stripe layout is narrow and orderly, with alternating indigo bands broken by slender madder lines and lighter chalky threads that keep the overall look from feeling too severe. Its 39 threads per cm give the cloth a tight, refined surface that reads smooth but still visibly woven in the close-up. The deep blue ground feels cool and grounded, while the warm red-brown notes add just enough contrast to make the colourway feel more tailored than nautical.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an upholstered armchair, bench or headboard where the indigo ground can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with pale plaster, walnut and aged brass, letting the madder stripes add warmth against the cooler blue.
