About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a plain weave with no pattern repeat, so the appeal comes from its texture and colour rather than motif. At 241 gsm and 139 cm usable width, it has enough substance for upholstery while still feeling versatile for drapery. The threads are tightly packed at 84 per cm, which helps the surface look refined and evenly grained in this elephant-toned blue-grey. In the image, the shade sits between slate and mist, with a subdued finish that keeps it relaxed rather than sharp.

How to use it

Use this blue-grey beside pale oak, chalk white, or brushed metal for a crisp but unfussy scheme. It also works well as a grounding neutral on an armchair, blind, or relaxed curtain drop.

A calm blue-grey linen that works neatly on upholstery or curtains in understated rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
