About this fabric
Woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, this fabric has a light 117gsm handle and is supplied at 138cm wide with a 136cm usable width. The surface reads fluid and slightly slubby, which suits the loose watercolor effect in this colourway and gives the design a softly diffused edge. Blue-grey shapes, chalky neutrals and a touch of muted yellow sit against the pale background, creating a cool, atmospheric palette rather than a strong contrast. With a horizontal pattern repeat of 136cm and a vertical repeat of 121.5cm, the design is best used where its full painterly sweep can be appreciated. It is specified for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and should be dry cleaned only and not ironed.
How to use it
Use Sola Blue in a room with pale timber, brushed metal and plain linens to keep the palette calm and contemporary. It works especially well as statement curtains where the soft blue tones can echo sky and water.
