Additions Fabriccarrara/fa1/oce
Carrara Blue reads as a cool, airy marble effect with inky aqua lines and soft sea-glass washes over an ivory ground.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a natural, slightly matte handle that suits the fluid, painted look shown in the swatch. The design is marked by branching blue, teal and mint veining, with occasional darker inky accents that give the pattern depth without making it heavy. At 230gsm and with a usable width of 138cm, it sits comfortably in a versatile mid-weight range for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The 35.5cm horizontal repeat and 55.6cm vertical repeat help preserve the sense of movement across larger drops, while the dry-clean-only finish keeps it practical for made-up pieces. Iron Safe and not fire retardant, it is best chosen for decorative schemes where the colour and pattern can be the focus.
How to use it
This cool aqua colourway works well with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed nickel, where the fresh blue-green tones can stay light and coastal. It also brings a crisp lift to layered neutral interiors, especially in rooms that need a little pattern without visual weight.
Use with pale woods and crisp linens for a fresh, contemporary scheme.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Carrara blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
