Dalby Gold pairs a warm ochre ground with bold cream leaf forms that lift across the surface. The result is a lively botanical fabric with a textured, woven look and a distinctly sunny presence.

About this fabric

This Dalby colourway shows a rich gold ground with pale cream foliage layered over it, creating strong contrast and a slightly weathered, woven character. The large botanical pattern has plenty of movement, with the leaf shapes reading clearly against the denser golden background. At 480gsm, it has the reassuring weight of a substantial fabric, while the 28% cotton, 25% polyester and 47% acrylic composition supports a practical, textured finish. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and the 50,000 Martindale result suggests it is robust enough for demanding interior use. Dry clean only and finish with a dry iron.

How to use it

The warm gold tone works well in rooms with wood, brass or deep green accents, where its creamy leaf pattern can become the focal point. Use it for lined curtains or a statement cushion scheme to bring a smart, sunlit feel to the interior.

Use for statement curtains or a tailored accent chair to let the leaf motif and warm gold ground stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dalby gold without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
