Eildon gold

Ettrick Fabriceildon/fa1/mus

Eildon Gold shows a softly layered botanical pattern in a warm, muted gold ground. The leaf forms are picked out in pale, chalky tones that give the design a fresh but settled character.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a dry, natural handle that suits relaxed interiors while still feeling neatly finished. At 230gsm with a usable width of 138cm, it sits comfortably in the mid-weight range and is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The ground colour is a mellow gold with a slightly earthy cast, so the pale leaf motif reads crisp rather than stark against it. The 46cm horizontal repeat and 50cm vertical repeat create a generous, rhythmic pattern that feels tailored across wider drops. It is dry clean only and iron safe, with no fire-retardant treatment noted.

How to use it

Use Eildon Gold where you want warmth without heaviness: it works well on curtains, Roman blinds and cushions in rooms with natural timber or painted off-whites. The muted gold ground also pairs beautifully with sage, stone and pale blue accents.

Pair with pale linen and soft sage for a calm, tailored scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Eildon gold without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
