About this fabric
This Ettrick fabric is woven in 80% cotton and 20% polyester, with a usable width of 138cm and a total width of 140cm. The print shows airy, thistle-like flowers in soft lilac and violet, layered with pale green stems and small blue-green seed heads for a painterly, almost hand-brushed effect. Its light ground keeps the purple tones fresh rather than heavy, so the overall look feels relaxed and decorative rather than dark. It is machine washable at 30 degrees, should be flat dried and ironed on the reverse, and it carries a water-resistant finish. The resin finish complies with Oeko-Tex, GRS, ZDHC and REACH regulations, and the pattern repeat is 46.6cm horizontally by 34cm vertically.
How to use it
Use it for relaxed upholstery, cushions or Roman blinds where the lilac florals can read clearly against crisp white, pale oak or cool grey finishes. It would also sit beautifully in a garden room or bedroom scheme that wants colour without visual weight.
Pair with pale neutrals to let the airy purple florals stay fresh and painterly.
