Samarinda Purple is a softly painted floral with a washed lilac-violet bloom set against a pale ground. The watercolour effect and gentle tonal shifts give it an airy, artistic feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has a natural, lightly textured handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The design repeats at 69cm both horizontally and vertically, creating a generous floral statement with plenty of movement across the cloth. In this purple colourway, the petals read as soft lilac, periwinkle and muted plum, with inky blue accents at the centre that add depth without making the pattern feel heavy. The pale background keeps the motif lifted and fresh, while the paint-like edges soften the overall look. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

Use this colourway in a bedroom or sitting room where its cool lilac tones can sit against chalky whites, misty greys or faded sage. It works especially well for relaxed curtains or cushions when you want a floral that feels painterly rather than formal.

Pair with pale neutrals and brushed metals to keep the painterly violet print feeling fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
