Sorong yellow

Equator Fabricsorong/fa1/lem

Sorong Yellow brings a soft, painterly yellow to the Equator design, with loose botanical forms floating across a pale ground. The shade feels fresh rather than vivid, lifted by the translucent wash of the motif.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a natural, lightly textured handle that suits soft furnishings as well as window treatments. The swatch shows a pale ground with watery botanical marks in mellow yellow and grey, giving the design a calm, hand-painted quality. At 230gsm, it sits comfortably in the mid-weight range, and the 138cm usable width makes it practical for curtains and blinds. The large 138cm horizontal repeat and 93cm vertical repeat suit a spacious, decorative scheme where the pattern can breathe.

How to use it

Pair this soft mustard-yellow colourway with limewashed woods, chalky neutrals, or muted grey upholstery for a gentle, sunny contrast. It works especially well in rooms that need warmth without heavy saturation.

Use where you want a light, painterly statement with an airy yellow lift.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
