Salvador purple

Equator Fabricsalvado/fa1/vio

Salvador Purple has a calm lavender ground lifted by painterly washes of lilac, blue, mint and pale yellow. The abstract forms feel softly blurred rather than sharp, giving the fabric an easy, artistic finish.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has a natural, slightly crisp handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The usable width is 138cm, with a 69cm horizontal repeat and 64cm vertical repeat, so the sweeping motif will read clearly across larger drops. In this colourway, the purple is gentle and cool rather than saturated, with pale lilac shadows and chalky white highlights that keep the design feeling light. It is dry clean only and can be cool ironed, with no fire-retardant treatment noted.

How to use it

Use it in a light-filled sitting room or bedroom where the lavender and soft blue notes can echo painted walls, pale timber and brushed metal finishes. It pairs especially well with muted greys, warm whites and washed natural linens.

A soft lavender ground with painterly colour blooms works beautifully for airy curtains or relaxed blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
