About this fabric
Printed on a 95% cotton, 5% linen base, this fabric has a natural matt character that suits the fluid, watercolour style of the design. The colourway balances soft purple blooms with pale sage leaves, blue-grey dragonflies and small blush accents, all set against a light neutral ground that keeps the overall effect calm. At 230gsm and with a 138cm usable width, it is a practical choice for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings where the pattern repeat of 46cm horizontally and 70cm vertically can be shown off. Dry clean only and cool iron care help preserve the crisp detail in the print. The palette feels cooler and more restrained than a deeper plum, giving the design an elegant, garden-room freshness.
How to use it
Use Volatus Purple in a light-filled sitting room or bedroom where its lilac and blue tones can sit against ivory walls and pale timber. It also works well with muted green cushions or a simple plain weave in stone or pearl to frame the pattern.
