Edenmuir Fabricvolatus/fa1/cin

Volatus Red brings a bright, painterly mix of coral, blush and lilac against a pale ground. The dragonfly and floral motifs feel airy and lively, with the red tones giving the design its warmth.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a naturally crisp but soft hand that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The usable width is 138cm, with a 46cm horizontal pattern repeat and 70cm vertical repeat, so the large-scale motif has room to show its full movement. In this colourway, the reds read more coral than brick, lifted by shell pinks, sage greens and cool lilacs on the ground. The overall effect is fresh and decorative rather than heavy, with the pale background helping the pattern feel open and light.

How to use it

Use this colourway in a light-filled room where its coral reds and pastel accents can read clearly against white, putty or pale timber. It works especially well on statement curtains or roman blinds when you want a cheerful, botanical focal point.

Pair with quiet neutrals to let the painterly reds and lilacs stay fresh and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
