Boronia red

Hibbertiameadows Fabricboronan/fa1/boy

Boronia Red shows the Hibbertiameadows design as a loose botanical scatter on an ivory ground, with airy stems and soft watercolour blooms. The red note reads more berry-toned than bright, giving the print a gently warmed, painterly feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while keeping the surface relaxed and breathable. The print layers mauve, blush, taupe and muted green botanical forms over a pale ground, with Boronia Red bringing the deepest accents through the central flower heads and seed-pod tones. Its large vertical repeat of 58.3cm and horizontal repeat of 69cm suit the open, floating character of the design, letting the stems and seed heads drift across a room. Dry clean only, with an iron-safe finish, it is a decorative fabric best chosen for statement window treatments or accent pieces rather than hard-wearing upholstery.

How to use it

Use Boronia Red where you want a gentle hit of colour without overwhelming the room — it works well against warm whites, faded sage and natural oak. The muted red-violet notes feel especially charming in softly layered bedrooms, sitting rooms or garden-facing spaces.

Pair with quiet neutrals or faded greens to let the loose botanical print breathe.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
