Volatus blue

Edenmuir Fabricvolatus/fa1/cap

Volatus Blue brings a cool, airy feel to the Edenmuir design, with painterly dragonflies and layered florals set against a pale ground. The soft blue-green notes keep the pattern light rather than heavy.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a natural matte handle that suits relaxed interiors and tailored window treatments alike. The visible colourway is a delicate blend of misty blue, aqua, lilac and sage, so the larger botanical forms read crisp without feeling stark. At 230gsm and with a usable width of 138cm, it has enough body for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still looking fluid in the room. The 46cm horizontal and 70cm vertical pattern repeats support the generous scale of the design, which makes the dragonflies and blooms feel spacious across the cloth. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

Use Volatus Blue where you want pattern with a fresh, almost watercolour lightness, such as full-length curtains or Roman blinds. Its cool pastel palette works especially well with white walls, weathered oak and soft grey upholstery.

Pair with pale timbers and linen plains to let the painterly colour shifts stay fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
