Macapa blue

Equator Fabricmacapa/fa1/cle

Macapa Blue pairs painterly ring motifs with a fresh white ground, creating a lively graphic look that still feels airy. The blue tones range from soft washed denim to deeper indigo, giving the design a cool, layered finish.

About this fabric

Woven in a 95% cotton, 5% linen composition, this fabric has a dry, natural handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The design repeats at 34.5cm horizontally and 34cm vertically, with a bold linked-ring motif that reads clearly across the cloth. In this colourway, the blues are cool and slightly mottled, moving from pale misty blue through mid cobalt to a dark navy centre. Small notes of sage green and a little warm ochre keep the overall effect painterly rather than stark.

How to use it

Use Macapa Blue to bring movement to relaxed scheme with white-painted woodwork, pale oak and matte metal finishes. It works especially well where you want a cool blue pattern that feels softened by the linen content.

Use it for easygoing curtains or statement cushions where the painterly rings can take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
