Kampala Summer takes the Equator design into a hushed mauve-and-plum palette, broken up with misty greys and pale lilac accents. The brushy, rectangular blocks give the cloth a painterly, softly layered look.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a gently dry handle and a mid-weight feel at 230gsm, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The visible print reads as brushed rectangles and softened edges rather than hard geometrics, with deep plum, dusty violet and smoky grey sitting over an off-white ground. The overall effect is cooler than a red-purple and more muted than a jewel tone, so the colourway feels calm and atmospheric. With a usable width of 138cm and a pattern repeat of 34.5cm horizontal by 27cm vertical, it is practical as well as decorative. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want colour without brightness: it pairs well with pale timber, chalky paint finishes and soft grey upholstery. The muted purple notes work especially well in bedrooms, reading corners and relaxed living rooms.

A soft mauve ground with inky plum blocks suits calm, contemporary interiors.
