Chambery yellow

Chambery Fabricchamber/fa1/dan

Chambery Yellow has a warm, mellow ground that sets off the pale floral motif beautifully. The daisy-like print feels fresh and airy, with a hand-printed character visible in the soft texture.

About this fabric

Woven in 90% cotton and 10% linen, this fabric has a natural, slightly slubby look that suits the relaxed floral repeat shown here. The yellow ground reads as soft mustard rather than bright lemon, giving the white flower heads a crisp, sunny contrast without feeling harsh. With a usable width of 140cm and a horizontal pattern repeat of 20cm, it is well suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The 22.9cm vertical repeat and dry clean only care make it a practical decorative textile for tailored window treatments and statement cushions. Iron safe finishing adds convenience when making up this colourway.

How to use it

Use Chambery Yellow to bring warmth to a pale scheme, especially alongside chalk white, putty and weathered oak. Its muted golden tone also works well in rooms that need a gentle lift without introducing a strong accent colour.

A cheerful mid-tone floral that lifts neutral schemes and softens darker woods.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
