Chambery orange

Chambery Fabricchamber/fa1/bri

Chambery Orange brings a soft apricot ground to the bold, hand-drawn floral motif, with crisp pale patterning lifted clearly against the warm base. The overall effect is sunny and relaxed, with a lively surface that still feels composed.

About this fabric

Woven in 90% cotton and 10% linen, this fabric has the dry, natural look you can see in the neatly textured ground and the lightly irregular print edges. The colourway reads as a warm apricot orange rather than a bright tangerine, giving the large floral repeat a softer, more lived-in feel. With a usable width of 140cm and a horizontal pattern repeat of 20cm by 22.9cm vertically, it is well suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. Dry clean only care and an iron-safe finish make it practical for tailored interior use.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want warmth without heaviness: it works especially well in rooms with oak, rattan or limewashed walls. The pale motif keeps the orange grounded, so it can sit comfortably alongside cream upholstery and textured neutrals.

Pairs well with pale neutrals and natural woods for a fresh, sun-warmed look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chambery orange without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
