Delamere orange

Botanical Stories Fabricdelamer/fa1/apr

Delamere Orange has a light, airy ground washed with soft apricot tones, so the botanical sketching feels fresh rather than heavy. The large-scale floral layout gives the cloth an open, painterly look.

About this fabric

Printed on a 140cm wide cloth in 95% cotton and 5% linen, Delamere Orange has a softly textured finish that suits this relaxed botanical design. The palette mixes muted apricot, peach, blush and leafy green, with the orange flowers appearing warm and sun-faded rather than bright. Its horizontal repeat of 45.67cm and vertical repeat of 57.52cm support the generous, scattered arrangement of stems and blooms across the surface. With no fire-retardant treatment noted and dry-clean-only care, it is best chosen where the decorative effect and natural handle are the priority.

How to use it

Use this colourway to soften a sitting room, conservatory or bedroom scheme, especially alongside linen upholstery, honey-toned wood and aged brass. The warm peach ground keeps the print calm, while the green stems add just enough contrast to work with rustic or classic interiors.

Pair with warm neutrals and natural textures to let the delicate floral colours lead.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Delamere orange without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
