Fresia green

Botanical Stories Fabricfresia/fa1/sky

Fresia Green has a softly weathered sage ground, lifted by loose olive stems and painterly orange flower heads. The effect is airy and organic, with the motif sitting lightly across the surface.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 140cm-wide fabric has the natural handle and gentle texture you would expect from a cotton-linen blend. The decorative surface shows a pale green base with sweeping olive stems and warm apricot-to-orange petals, giving the print a fresh, slightly sun-faded character. The colours feel muted rather than bright, so the design reads more botanical and restful than bold. With its horizontal repeat of 22.83cm and vertical repeat of 16.6cm, the pattern creates a relaxed all-over rhythm that suits considered interior schemes. Dry clean only; do not use bleach or fabric softener, and do not tumble dry.

How to use it

Use it for curtains, cushions or a light occasional chair where the soft sage ground can calm stronger woods and painted finishes. It works especially well alongside cream, oatmeal and aged brass for a collected, garden-room feel.

Pair with warm neutrals and natural wood to keep the painterly floral feeling fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
