Fresia red
Botanical Stories Fabricfresia/fa1/lin
Fresia Red shows a lively scattering of painterly blooms and slender green stems across a warm ivory ground. The red petals sit somewhere between paprika and rose, giving the design a fresh but gently earthy feel.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has the relaxed handle and natural texture you would expect from a cotton-linen blend, with a width of 140cm. The print combines muted red flowers, olive-green arching stems and small touches of ochre, all softened by the creamy background. The colourway feels warm rather than bright, with the red tones lifted by a slightly dusty finish that keeps the pattern easy to live with. It is dry clean only, iron safe, and should not be bleached, softened, or tumble dried. With a horizontal pattern repeat of 22.83cm and a vertical repeat of 16.6cm, the motif reads as a balanced medium-scale design.
How to use it
This colourway suits cushions, loose covers, or curtains in rooms with pale timber, plaster, or linen upholstery. Pair it with warm white and olive accents to echo the botanical palette without overwhelming the space.
Use with warm neutrals and natural wood for an easy, painterly look.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fresia red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
