Medmerry Multi shows an airy meadow of watercolour flowers and slender stems scattered across a pale ground. The mix of blush, coral, blue-grey and mossy green keeps the design light, fresh and painterly.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 140cm-wide fabric has the easy, natural handle you’d expect from a soft decorative cloth. The pattern repeat is generous at 45.67cm horizontal and 54.6cm vertical, which suits the loose, all-over botanical movement visible in the swatch. On this colourway, the off-white ground brightens the pink, coral, sage and blue notes, giving the print a fresh meadow feel rather than a heavy floral look. It is dry clean only, with Iron Safe care, and should not be bleached, softened or tumble dried.

How to use it

The pale ground and mixed pastels make this a good partner for light oak, chalky paint shades and simple natural textures. Use it for curtains or cushions where the soft coral and blue-grey flowers can read clearly against daylight.

Use with plain linens or painted wood to let the airy floral trail stay fresh and lively.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
