Elowen brown

Botanical Stories Fabricelowen/fa1/mul

Elowen Brown shows a softly layered woodland print in warm brown, olive and sage tones over a gentle cream ground. The leaves and ferns feel painterly and organic, giving the fabric a calm, lived-in character.

About this fabric

This design is woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, with a 140cm width and a large horizontal and vertical repeat of 45.67cm. The ground reads as a muted cream-beige, while the foliage is built from mossy olive, soft sage, tobacco brown and deeper forest accents. The overall effect is warm rather than sharp, with the brown colourway bringing out the more bark-like branches and dried-fern details in the motif. It is dry clean only; do not use bleach or fabric softener, do not tumble dry, and it is iron safe.

How to use it

Use Elowen Brown on statement armchairs, bench cushions or relaxed curtains where the earthy palette can sit against timber, rattan and aged brass. Its muted brown depth works especially well in rooms that already have natural textures and soft neutral walls.

Pair with natural wood and muted plains to keep the woodland print feeling warm and grounded.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
